Conference on Ultra-Early Intervention: recordings 2015-2023 now available for free
GLANCE has the vision that every baby born receives the best start in life. Infant- and family-centred developmental care is a crucial approach to neonatal care which puts the needs of the infant first and centres all care practices around them. The Swedish Conference on Ultra-Early Intervention, which has been held annually (except 2021) since 2009, focuses on this very topic by highlighting different facets each year. Since 2022, the conference has been organised collaboratively by the Karolinska NIDCAP Center and the Lund-Malmö NIDCAP Center. One of the co-organisers, Dr Björn Westrup, is also member of GLANCE’s Chair Committee.
During this year’s conference, EFCNI Chairwoman Silke Mader elaborated on the results of separation policies in NICUs worldwide during the COVID-19 pandemic and how this has affected neonatal care in the short and long term. In her talk, she draws on the findings of our 2021 survey “Zero Separation. Together for better care!”
